No other bike can be found like this in Finland with such high power and low weight. The electric kit is built up on one of the strongest downhill bike frames ever made, with high quality components specifically chosen to handle the high power, speed and jumps. The high power output is fully protected with current limiting, motor temperature sensor and low voltage cut off. It is also fully programmable through the speed controller and Cycle Analyst. Also with a 3 position switch for instant peak power limits, currently setup for 30, 60 and 90 Amps. The 1kwh capacity lithium battery is made up of 2x 20ah 48v packs. This gives a no pedal range of over 40km at medium power level or 25-30km of fully power off road riding. The packs only have around 20 cycles and I balance charge them after every cycle. I have set the charge voltage to 4.1v per cell instead of 4.2v and the cut off voltage on the Cycle Analyst to 3.6v per cell instead of 3v, this dramatically increases the life of the batteries and gives around 70 percent capacity which is still more than enough for a couple hour blast. The batteries weigh around 5kg together and are carried in a backpack, this is to keep the weight closer to the body for a more responsive ride (the bike only weighs 24kg). Also this backpack system acts as a safety cutoff if you fall off the bike. The Tangent accent gearbox has only ran about 200 hundred hours, which was mainly just to test and tune to perfection. Just to clarify this kit can switch over to any bike with a 68 or 73mm bottom bracket, I even have an adapter kit so it can be mounted to a fat bike. I have it geared at the moment for around 50kmh top speed this seems like a perfect compromise of top speed and wheelie power. If speed was all you wanted then it could be geared to go close to 100kmh.
